Neida always sat behind me in nursing school, but I remember how poised and professional she looked walking into class every morning. She was reserved but had a strong character, speaking very little but saying every word with careful meaning. I was always impressed by her diligence and perseverance, knowing that one day she would make a very fine RN.
When we met up again a couple weeks ago over sushi and discussed plans to shoot her maternity session, I confirmed my beliefs. Neida is now a nurse in the transplant unit of Tampa General Hospital, obtained her Bachelor’s after we graduated together with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, and is currently planning to apply for her Master’s and become a Nurse Practitioner. In addition, she is expecting a little girl!

We spent the morning together at the USF Botanical Garden. Everything was perfect.

Neida was glowing and absolutely beautiful.

I just love when trees are decorated with Chinese lanterns. This was all Neida’s idea.

Little Sofia is going to be just as smart and beautiful as her mom. I can’t wait to photograph her too.

The Botanical Garden at USF is the perfect location for photoshoots. Every alcove had the perfect backdrop for us to use.

In case you’re wondering, yes, I am a wedding photographer. But I also photograph maternity sessions, newborns, family sessions, professional headshots, and senior portraits. Because my brides are professionals, will have babies, their families will grow, and their babies will soon become high school seniors (faster than we realize!), I would love to be there for them on all of their important days. I would love for all my brides to keep in touch that way, and that’s why I offer phenomenal rates to all my former brides. I was there on your wedding day and I’d love to be there on all your greatest days.
